We are constantly looking to develop the Sports Park to ensure that it is sustainable and functional.
In recent years, we have upgraded our old AWP lights across the Hockey, Football and Rugby pitched to new LED lights and installed solar panels on the main clubhouse. These projects have significantly reduced the club’s electricity usage.
The future looks exiting for the Sports Park –
we have big plans to make sure the space is sustainable and can benefit the local area for many generations to come.
Plans include:
- A new 3G football pitch
- A second astro-turf pitch
- Padel courts
- Improved parking
- Improved drainage across the Park
- An underground rainwater storage tank
- Renovation of the existing clubhouse
These plans are the result of a lot of hard work from the Sports Trust, local planning consultant Jerry Unsworth (who has a history with the Trust having previously been Vice-Chairman himself), and a significant period of public consultation.
